DentAccept ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

DentAccept does not collect, store, or transmit any patient health information (PHI). No patient names, records, images, or identifiable data ever pass through our system.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

Patient names or identifiers — the app never asks for patient information
Patient health records — no diagnosis, treatment plans, or medical history
Photos or X-rays — no image upload functionality exists
Location data — we do not track GPS or precise location
Cookies for tracking — we use no third-party tracking cookies

3. HIPAA Compliance

Because DentAccept does not collect, store, process, or transmit any Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA, DentAccept is not a "covered entity" or "business associate" under HIPAA. The Service operates as a general-purpose educational tool that displays procedure animations without any patient-specific data.

However, we take data security seriously and implement industry-standard protections for all data we do handle.

4. How We Use Your Information

To provide the Service — authenticate your access, manage your subscription
To communicate — send account-related emails (welcome, billing, important updates)
To improve — aggregate, anonymized usage data helps us understand which features are most valuable
To support — respond to your questions and provide technical assistance

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+)
Database is encrypted at rest
Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 compliant)
Access codes are generated randomly and can be deactivated remotely
We perform regular security reviews of our infrastructure

7. Data Retention

Active accounts: Data is retained while your subscription is active.
Cancelled accounts: Account data is retained for 90 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted.
Server logs: Automatically deleted after 30 days.
Payment records: Retained by Stripe per their retention policy and applicable tax/legal requirements.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correct — update inaccurate information
Delete — request deletion of your account and associated data
Export — receive your data in a portable format
Opt-out — unsubscribe from non-essential communications

9. Children's Privacy

DentAccept is designed for use by dental professionals and is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. International Users

DentAccept is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
